Third Trip to Google HQ: Opening Doors to Tech & Innovation

At Visionary Philanthropy Group, exposure is the first step toward empowerment. That truth came to life again as 55 students and mentors from Trenton spent a transformative day at Google’s New York City headquarters.

Now in its third year, this signature experience introduces local youth to careers in technology through the BreakBeatCode program—a Google initiative that teaches coding through music. Students learned how to mix beats with JavaScript, collaborate in real time, and see how technology and creativity intersect.

For many, it was their first time inside a global tech company, where they could visualize a career in innovation. “This trip changed my whole mindset,” one participant said. “I used to think tech was for someone else—but now I know it’s for me.”

Moments like this embody VPG’s mission: helping purpose-driven youth turn potential into progress through access, exposure, and mentorship.
