Making A Difference
From Student to Teacher — at Just 10 Years Old.
When Marley joined VPG’s BreakBeatCode program, she was curious but quiet. Within weeks, she mastered the material so well that she was invited to teach her peers. That moment redefined what she believed was possible. Marley didn’t just learn to code — she learned to lead.
For many returning citizens, rebuilding life after incarceration is about more than work — it’s about reclaiming purpose. Through VPG’s Reentry & Empowerment program, graduates gain digital literacy, confidence, and new community roles. Several now lead workshops themselves, proving that transformation becomes contagious when given a fresh start.
Turning Experience Into Empowerment.
For 55 Trenton students, a trip to Google’s NYC headquarters wasn’t just a tour — it was a vision of possibility. Surrounded by innovators who looked like them, they saw that brilliance knows no boundaries. For many, that day sparked a lifelong belief in what their ideas could build.
